A platform for Social Activities and Networking
Being successful at work, often means having a strong family foundation and/or good and interesting social network. SBC upholds and promotes Swedish traditions, values, culture and sport through social activities such as; golf, luncheons, Swedish school and women's club. SBC is an important platform for networking as well as social activities. Any social gathering may be of so much more value than any offically scheduled meeting in terms of potential business, which makes our social activities one of the most important elements. Business lunches, golf events, monthly business pub evenings, organised business delegations, Swedish bank holiday celebrations are a just few activities, organised or supported by SBC. To broaden the network even further, many of these activities are carried out in conjunction with other Business Councils or Associations in the UAE. SWEAThe Swedish Women´s Educational Association, SWEA is an active group of Swedish women living in Dubai. Many of whom are accompanying their husbands on their foreign missions or have professional occupation themselves www.sweadubai.com. Norwegian Seamen's Center and the Swedish ChurchAnother meeting point for Scandinavians in Dubai are the Norwegian Seamen's Centre and the Swedish Church Abroad, SKUT, which offers various activities and also business lunches every Tuesday. A good option for not only Swedish and other Scandinavian residents, but also for Scandinavian businessmen and women, travelling to the region, longing for some delicatesses from the North.
