Schooling in the UAE - General

All schools in the UAE are supervised and regulated by the Ministry of Education & Youth, which regularly inspects them to make sure the rules and regulations are being upheld. Most schools insist on a school uniform. There are private and public government schools in Dubai. The standard of teaching is usually high and schools offer excellent facilities, with extracurricular activities on offer.

Swedish pupils and students often find schooling in Dubai of higher standard than Swedish public schools. Many expatriates returning back to Swedish schools feel their knowledge base is higher than their fellow class mates.
