Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), a 100% government-owned free zone, was established following Law no 16 of 2005 of the Government of Dubai, with the Mission to "facilitate and promote modern technology based industries". A full package of incentives and benefits are provided to companies operating within the free zone.

DSO's urban master-planned community spans 7.2 million square meters and has been carefully divided into 5 main pillars based on industrial, commercial, education, living and residences, and public facilities. The technology park enjoys state-of-the-art utility infrastructure featuring advanced telecommunications, electricity, and road networks. DSO is also considered as the only technology park that provides both a living and working integrated community.

In 2015, DSOA launched the Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (Dtec), the largest of its kind in the region. Through Dtec, start-ups benefit from it offering, business licenses, and flexible office space among many others.

DSOA is also committed to continue investing in smart initiatives and services. In line with this commitment, DSOA commenced with developing the “Silicon Park”– Dubai’s first project that fully implements the smart city concept. Spanning 150,000 SQM and set for construction at a cost of AED1.3 billion, Silicon Park is set for completion in Q1 2019.

The Silicon Park project will include 71,000 SQM of office space, a 25,000 SQM retail space, 46,000 SQM of residential area, the 112-key Radisson Red DSO Hotel and 59 furnished apartments, as well as lifestyle facilities such as restaurants, cafés, health centers, gyms, running and cycle tracks, prayer rooms, shopping center, and underground parking to accommodate over 2,500 cars.
