Together with some of the Business Councils in the UAE, SBC has partnered up to celebrate the International Women’s Day
A recent Forbes article argued that “we all lose out when fewer women lead startups”. They refer to the study by BCG and MassChallenge, that concluded startups founded and cofounded by women were seen to perform better over time relative to startups founded by men only.
Contrast this against a January 2020 HBR report on "How the VC Pitch Process Is Failing Female Entrepreneurs", which confirmed multiple academic studies have shown that there is a strong gender bias in many different elements of the pitch process.
So where are the roadblocks and how can they be overcome?
What do women do differently that provides a diverse perspective and increases value?
One the 7th March we invite you to a breakfast event where we will sit down with female entrepreneurs from various industries and ask them:
How has their experience been framed by gender? The positives, the negatives and the stuff in-between.
