Arla Foods and DMK Group start their joint future as one company

We are pleased to share that we have received the required regulatory approvals for the planned merger of Arla Foods and the DMK Group (with/without conditions). This marks an important step for us as we unite our two farmer owned organisations to form one stronger European dairy cooperative.
Today marks our official Day 1 as Arla Foods and the DMK Group come together under the Arla name. This strengthens our operational foundation from Day 1 and sets the direction for how we will develop and integrate our supplier base going forward. As part of this journey, we will actively engage with our suppliers and invite you to contribute ideas, initiatives, and proposals that can help us create additional value together.
Business continuity from Day 1
DMK GmbH and its subsidiaries will retain their legal status as they become part of Arla. For you as a supplier, your current ways of working remain unchanged at this stage:
• Ordering and invoicing continue as before with each entity.
• We will apply extra diligence when validating any supplier‑initiated changes to payment details to protect against fraud.
• Your procurement contacts stay the same. Any future changes will be communicated clearly and well in advance.
What begins now
From today, we begin building a shared understanding of our combined operations. A key purpose of the merger is to create additional value for our farmers and partners. As we integrate our two supplier bases, we will make deliberate choices about where we consolidate, where we scale, and where we grow partnerships. This process will consider both performance and the potential to jointly develop more sustainable and value-adding solutions.
We encourage all our suppliers to actively participate by bringing forward ideas, innovations, and commercial proposals that contribute to stronger collaboration and long-term value creation. While this integration process may lead to changes over time, our intent is to manage this transparently, providing clarity and sufficient notice where adjustments are required.
Looking ahead
Becoming part of the supplier landscape of the largest European dairy cooperative opens opportunities for growth as our footprint and portfolio expand. These opportunities will evolve step by step, and we will proactively communicate as they take shape.
