Swedish Midsummer Celebration 2026
We are delighted to look back on the magical Midsummer celebration that took place on Friday, 12th June at The Strand, Palm Jumeirah. The evening was dedicated to tradition, music, great food, and joyful company.
The celebration began with beautiful Swedish folk music performed by Mohamad Hamami on violin, setting the tone as guests enjoyed refreshing welcome drinks.
A traditional three-course Midsummer menu was served, featuring pickled herring, salmon, meatballs, and a classic strawberry cake for dessert.
The atmosphere came alive when our ‘‘Norrländska´´ (northern Swedish) hostesses Lisa and Jasmin dressed in H&M´s latest summer collection dresses, kicked off the evening. Tables were decorated with vibrant summer flowers, and many guests wore traditional flower wreaths.
With 80 guests, the dance floor quickly filled up as we circled around the Midsummer pole, laughing and hopping like little frogs — just as it should be! A special thank you to Lisette Vega and DJ Vii Toria, who kept the dance floor alive with fantastic music until the “midnight sun.”
