National Day Fika 2026

A wonderful way to celebrate Friday—and the Swedish tradition of fika!

We had the pleasure of hosting a special National Day Fika together with the Embassy of Sweden, bringing together many of our valued members for a morning of connection, conversation, and community to celebrate Sweden!

In Sweden, fika is more than just a coffee break—it’s a meaningful moment, whether at work or at home, to pause, reflect on the day, and connect with a colleague or a friend. This spirit was truly reflected in the warm and engaging atmosphere of our gathering.

Apart from Fika, we had the honour of listening to H.E. Fredrik Florén Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE who held a speech about what Sweden means to the world and a bit of the history during the last 503 years. It was great to see such strong engagement, including the presence of our sponsor Gulf Rock, along with many other SBC members who joined to network in a relaxed setting.

A special thank you to our member Bolle for the delicious cinnamon buns - truly the highlight of any fika! And also The Strand Craft Kitchen for making the venue extra Swedish!

Events like these remind us of the importance of creating spaces where relationships can grow and collaborations can begin.
