Swedish Julbord 2025

The Swedish Business Council proudly welcomed over 240 guests to The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai on the 21st November for an enchanting Swedish Christmas celebration. This year, we added an extra touch of Christmas wonder with Rocking Gingerbreads and Candy Canes taking the spotlight. The dress code black tie with a touch of red and/or white supported the theme.

The evening opened with a captivating illusion act by James Fabulous, setting the tone for a night full of wonder. The magic continued as the Rocking Hostesses — Jasmin, Johanna, and Lisa — made their entrance onto the stage.

A festive highlight was the crowning ceremony of the valued sponsors, whose support truly helped creating a memorable evening as always:

The hostesses also surprised one lucky guest at each table with chocolate truffles by Vendorr — a sweet gift for those who have been “especially good” this year.

SBC Board Member Heléne Bittman shared heartfelt Christmas reflections and highlighted SBC’s milestones as the year comes to a close. The presence of H.E. Mr. Fredrik Florén, Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE, was a true honour delivering an inspiring speech about the Year of the Community 2025.

Guests were treated to a delicious four-course Swedish-inspired Julbord, featuring classics such as herring, gravlax, tender beef brisket, Ris à la Malta, sticky saffron cake, and gingerbread panna cotta. Deliscuous water were on each table sponsored by Åre Beverage Group and of course a candy party can not be the same without some candy to all the guests from Goodiset.

The entertainment continued with a fantastic lineup of artists, including Sean Lipsey, Emily Peacock, Lisette Vega, and two dancers who kept the audience mesmerised. Later, DJ Akmaral took over, ensuring the dance floor stayed alive into the early hours, supported by the brilliant team at Green Room.

Last but not least a warm thank you for the wonderful support in preparing our three stunning hostesses, who were beautifully styled for the occasion. Their hair was expertly done by Minna Puustinen, and their flawless makeup was created by make-up artist Tina Törnberg. To complete their perfect look, they wore exquisite pieces from Caroline Svedbom.
